About Us
As lifelong horse enthusiasts, we pride ourselves on treating every boarded horse like our own.
Facilities & Amenities
We take pride in maintaining high-quality facilities and comprehensive amenities for our boarders:
Comfortable Stabling
Spacious matted stalls that are cleaned and bedded daily for your horse’s comfort. Each stall has a stall fan for summer cooling and heated water bucket in winter to ensure horses stay comfortable year-round.
Exercise & Training Areas
An 80-ft lighted round pen and a 150×300 outdoor arena provide ample space for training, exercise, and riding. We also have a hot walker available to help cool down or exercise your horse.
Ample Turnout:
Horses enjoy turnout daily on acres of open pasture, with pasture rotation to keep fields healthy. We practice slow herd integration for new arrivals, introducing horses gradually to ensure safe socialization in the herd. Trails are nearby for those who love trail riding off-property.
Daily Care
Our full-care boarding includes feeding and care routines to keep your horse healthy. Horses are fed high-quality hay twice daily (orchard grass and timothy mix) and stalls are mucked out daily.
On-Site Owners:
Tony and Stephanie live on the farm, providing 24/7 on-site supervision. This means there’s always an experienced horse person around to check on the horses and handle any needs or emergencies promptly.
Convenience & Extras:
Trailer parking is included for boarders (no extra charge to store your horse trailer on-site). We also coordinate routine farrier visits approximately every 6–8 weeks (farrier services available for an additional fee) and we are available to hold your horse for the vet or farrier if you can’t be present. Worming is done regularly per our vet’s recommendations, and we’ll administer any supplements or medications your horse needs (provided by you) at no extra charge.
Full-Care Boarding – $19/Day
Our core offering is Full-Care Horse Boarding at an affordable rate of $19 per day (approximately $570 per month). This full-service boarding package includes twice-daily feeding, stall cleaning and daily turnout as well as on-site trailer parking. We handle all the labor and care, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your horse is receiving top-quality attention every single day.
At Diamond R Stables, “full-service” truly means comprehensive care: we feed and water your horse, clean stalls, provide bedding, rotate pastures, blanket in cold weather (if needed), and monitor your horse’s health and behavior daily. Our goal is to make sure both you and your horse have a stress-free, positive boarding experience. If you’re looking for a worry-free boarding solution where your horse’s every need is covered, Diamond R is the place for you.
(Please note: Veterinary and farrier fees are the responsibility of the horse owner. However, we will happily arrange and attend vet/farrier appointments as needed.)
Boarding Requirements
To ensure the health and safety of all horses at Diamond R Stables, we do have a few requirements prior to boarding. Before your horse moves in, we’ll need the following:
Negative Coggins Test
Proof of a current negative Coggins test (to screen for Equine Infectious Anemia) is required for each horse.
Up-to-Date Vaccinations
Horses must be up to date on core vaccinations. You’ll need to show documentation of required vaccines (such as rabies, tetanus, West Nile, EWT/flu/rhino, etc., as recommended by your vet).
Boarding & Liability Contracts
Completion of our boarding agreement and liability waiver is required. (We will provide these contracts – they outline stable rules, care terms, and liability release.)
Payment & Deposit
We require a credit card on file or a monthly pre-payment for boarding fees. (We can discuss the payment plan that works best for you; $19/day works out to roughly $570 per month.)
References
A vet and farrier reference may be requested. This is simply to ensure that incoming horses have a history of proper care. If your horse has any special health needs or corrective shoeing requirements, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate them (additional farrier fees for special shoeing may apply).
Emergency Contacts
You will provide emergency contact information and designate a veterinarian in case of emergencies. All vet and farrier costs (including routine care, emergency care, illness or injury treatment) are the responsibility of the horse owner, but we will facilitate care and communication in any urgent situation.
Additional Services & Programs
Youth Horsemanship Classes
We love helping the next generation of riders grow. Our youth horsemanship program offers lessons and hands-on learning for kids and teens to build confidence, riding skills, and knowledge of horse care. These classes are conducted in a fun, safe environment under experienced instruction. (Contact us for schedules and details about upcoming classes.)
Equine Chiropractic
To keep your horse feeling their best, we partner with a certified equine chiropractor who can provide on-site chiropractic adjustments by appointment. Regular chiropractic sessions can help improve your horse’s comfort, flexibility, and performance by addressing any musculoskeletal issues or misalignments. This service is available to boarders as needed (additional fee applies).
BEMER PEMF Therapy
Diamond R Stables offers BEMER therapy for horses a cutting-edge pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) treatment. BEMER (Bio-Electro-Magnetic Energy Regulation) uses low-intensity PEMF via a specialized blanket and leg cuffs to improve and enhance cellular function in the body. This therapy can aid in recovery from injuries or surgery, reduce muscle tension, promote relaxation, and improve overall performance and well-being of your horse. Sessions can be scheduled for your horse for an additional fee.
MagnaWave PEMF Therapy
We also offer MagnaWave therapy, another form of PEMF treatment that is non-invasive and highly beneficial for horses. MagnaWave therapy uses pulsing electromagnetic waves to stimulate cellular function, helping to reduce pain and inflammation and accelerate. It is used to address a variety of issues from performance stress and general muscle soreness to chronic conditions like arthritis or tendon/ligament injuries, and even hoof problems such as abscesses. MagnaWave sessions can help your horse recover faster and stay more comfortable. (Available for an additional fee, by appointment.)
Veterinary Services
We proudly partner with Creek Valley Veterinary Services to ensure our horses receive top-tier medical care. Their team provides reliable, responsive support for routine health checks, vaccinations, emergency care, and ongoing treatment needs. With Creek Valley’s expertise and our on-site management, your horse is in trusted hands every day.
F.A.Q.
We feed horses twice a day (morning and evening). At each feeding, horses receive plenty of high-quality orchard grass and timothy hay to keep them well-fed. If your horse requires grain or a special feed/supplement, we will happily feed any owner-provided feed according to your instructions. Fresh, clean water is always available, and we check water buckets regularly (and use heated buckets in winter to prevent freezing).
We primarily feed a mix of orchard grass and timothy hay, which provides excellent nutrition and palatability. This grass hay mix is high-quality and dust-free. We believe consistent quality hay is crucial for horse health, and our boarders have been very happy with the condition and weight of their horses on this diet. (If your horse has specific dietary needs or hay preferences, just let us know!)
Yes. We will administer any supplements you provide to your horse at no extra charge. Simply supply us with the supplement and instructions on dosage, and we’ll add it to your horse’s feed as directed. This includes powdered supplements, electrolytes, etc. We can also give daily medication like Previcox or other oral meds if needed as part of their routine.
Absolutely. If your horse requires medication (for example, antibiotics, Bute, or other prescribed treatments), we can administer those as directed by your veterinarian. We pay close attention to every horse’s health and will follow your vet’s instructions for any medical care. There is no extra charge for giving basic medications or treatments, as caring for your horse’s well-being is part of our service. (Please note that any vet-prescribed medication itself and veterinary visit costs are the owner’s responsibility.) We are also experienced in monitoring injuries or illnesses and will keep you updated on your horse’s condition.
As a boarder at Diamond R Stables, you have flexible access to your horse. Our barn does not keep strict “closed” days – you’re welcome to come seven days a week. Generally, we encourage visits and riding during daylight and early evening hours for everyone’s safety and comfort. Because we live on-site, we can accommodate early or late visits if needed – we just ask that you let us know in advance if you plan to come very early in the morning or late at night. We strive to maintain a peaceful environment for the horses overnight. If you want to hit the nearby trails or haul out to a show, you can come grab your horse and trailer anytime, and of course you can use our arena or round pen at your convenience. In short, our hours are very accommodating to fit your schedule – we want you to enjoy time with your horse as often as possible!
